Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity involves providing specialized educational services through telehealth to students with visual impairments. The role is based in Lehi, UT, and is offered on a contract basis, delivering essential support to enhance learning accessibility for visually impaired students remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and support to visually impaired students using telehealth platforms Conduct assessments to determine students' individual needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Track student progress and maintain detailed records of instructional activities and outcomes Utilize technology effectively to engage students and facilitate remote learning
Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience providing telehealth or remote instructional services in an educational setting Strong understanding of assistive technology and adaptations for visually impaired learners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and school personnel Ability to manage schedules and deliver services reliably in a remote learning environment
