Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a lasting difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a life skills classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, in-person contract opportunity is designed for a passionate educator eager to make a positive impact in a K-3 environment. You'll collaborate within a supportive team to deliver high-quality instruction and foster an inclusive, nurturing learning atmosphere for young learners with special needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Utah Special Education Teaching License/Certification (required) Experience working with elementary-age students in a life skills or self-contained setting Strong classroom management and communication skills Demonstrated ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
Primary Duties:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to life skills and academic growth for students in grades K-3 Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with related service providers and parents Track and document student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff Implement behavior intervention strategies and manage classroom routines Support students in developing critical functional, academic, and social skills Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaborations as required
