Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a rewarding contract opportunity working with elementary and middle school students. This full-time position encompasses the 2026-2027 academic year, offering an engaging, supportive environment where you can create meaningful progress for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience co-teaching in inclusive classrooms is preferred Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators and support staff Clear, professional communication with students, families, and faculty Creative, adaptive approaches to helping students achieve educational goals
Position Highlights:
37.5 hours per week for a steady, full-time schedule Two openings available Support classrooms at both primary (grades 3-4) and middle school (grades 7-8) levels with caseloads under 10 students per group Work onsite within a welcoming and dedicated educational community Plan, implement, and assess differentiated instruction in a co-teaching environment Support students' social, emotional, and academic development Participate in IEP meetings and maintain progress documentation Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective lesson strategies and classroom routines Enjoy the chance to make a significant impact as you help shape a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere for your students.
