Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Pet Care Specialist, where your passion for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to pets, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and healthy. From caring for a variety of animals (mostly dogs and cats) to assisting with grooming and facility upkeep, you'll play a vital part in creating positive experiences for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals while developing valuable skills in pet care and customer service. Duties Provide attentive pet care, feeding, and daily enrichment for animals of all sizes and temperaments Handle animals safely using proper techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene maintenance Maintain cleanliness of Suites, play yards, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Offer excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and progress Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or large dogs safely Experience Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet sitting environment is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills is a strong plus Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience will be advantageous Familiarity with pet grooming procedures and pet care routines is desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Prior experience in animal care, or kennel work will help you excel in this role Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals fuels every day!
