Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference this upcoming 26/27 school year as a Special Education Teacher, working to empower students and shape positive educational experiences. Four rewarding contract opportunities are available: two for elementary (K-5) inclusion classrooms, one for an elementary (K-5) self-contained classroom, and one for a middle school (grades 6-8) inclusion setting. Enjoy the support of dedicated paraprofessionals and a collaborative school environment as you help students reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility for licensure Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction according to IEPs Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of students Collaborate with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments Support students' academic, social, and behavioral development Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with the reassurance of para support in your role.
