Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) supporting students across a district-wide setting near Stafford, VA. This contract opportunity offers a unique chance to impact learners from PreK through 12th grade, with a flexible part-time (.5 FTE) schedule and potential to expand to full-time based on need. The district has experienced a substantial increase in students requiring vision services, meaning your expertise will be valued and in high demand. Benefit from the autonomy to structure your work day, as you'll collaborate with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to meet a variety of student needs. This role offers both direct service minutes for some students and consultative support for others, providing variety and meaningful engagement in your daily work. Qualifications:

Active Virginia Department of Education (DOE) Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience serving visually impaired students in a school setting preferred Willingness to complete a Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly Recent TB test (required for credentialing) Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfort working with a range of ages and service needs (PreK-12th grade)
