Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Qualifications:
Active Virginia Department of Education (DOE) Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience serving visually impaired students in a school setting preferred Willingness to complete a Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly Recent TB test (required for credentialing) Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfort working with a range of ages and service needs (PreK-12th grade)Responsibilities:
