Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their growth in a school environment with multiple openings for Special Education professionals for the 2026/2027 school year. Step into a contract position where your expertise in special education will help shape a supportive and effective learning environment. The school is seeking dedicated professionals with experience or strong interest in self-contained or autism classroom settings.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working in self-contained and/or autism-specific classrooms preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Passion for fostering academic, social, and behavioral development in students with varying abilities Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues, family members, and related service providers Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and implementing
IEPs Role Responsibilities:
Provide instruction tailored to students' individual needs within a self-contained or autism-focused classroom Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote academic and social progress Foster a consistent, structured, and positive classroom atmosphere Track and report student progress, collaborating with support staff and parents Address behavioral and emotional needs using proactive approaches and support plans Maintain compliance with all special education regulations and school policies
