Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Special Education Teacher certification required Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in resource or inclusion settings Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners Proficiency in behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families Collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Adapt curriculum materials to promote engagement and accessibility Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment Track and report student progress, and participate in IEP meetings Advocate for students' needs and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations As a W2 contract staff member, you'll have the opportunity to focus on your students, knowing administrative support is in place so you can teach and connect.
