Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this upcoming school year as a Special Education Teacher, supporting young learners from kindergarten through fourth grade. This role covers a maternity leave starting August 21st and extends into early January, with the academic year beginning for students on August 26th. You'll work within a vibrant elementary school environment near South Burlington, VT, providing essential guidance and instruction to a diverse caseload.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification for grades K-4 Experience working with mixed disability populations, including learning disabilities (LD), other health impairments (OHI), and autism spectrum disorders Familiarity or certification in structured literacy programs such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson Reading Systems is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a caseload of 10-15 students Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with staff and families
