Summer-time teacher Family Circle Too Kent, WA Job Details Temporary $18 - $21 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Early childhood education Daycare First Aid Certification Classroom experience Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Summer-time Teacher to inspire and engage children during the vibrant summer months. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning while supporting their developmental needs through creative activities, educational lessons, and positive interactions. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare. This position can start 6/1 thru end of August or mid-September if needed. Full-time, 9 am to 6 pm is the schedule Duties Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to various age groups, emphasizing early childhood education and childhood development principles Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times Incorporate creative arts, theater, sports coaching, or other specialized activities to enrich the summer experience Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behavior in a professional manner Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom or activity areas to promote hygiene and safety standards Assist with basic first aid when necessary and follow all health protocols to ensure children's well-being Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or similar environments is highly desirable Knowledge of special education needs and behavior management techniques is a plus Demonstrated ability to handle classroom management effectively in dynamic settings Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged Strong communication skills with an understanding of Christian counseling or child-centered approaches are beneficial Background in early childhood education or related coursework will support success in this role Join us this summer to make a positive difference in children's lives!
