This position is an opportunity to impact students academically, spiritually, and personally during some of the most formative years of their lives. We are looking for a teacher who loves Jesus, loves students, and is committed to cultivating both academic excellence and Christian character in the classroom. Essential Responsibilities English Language Arts (ELA) Teach reading comprehension, literature, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and writing. Develop students' critical thinking and analytical skills through literature and discussion. Guide students through various writing styles including narrative, expository, persuasive, and research writing. Provide timely feedback and assessment of student work.
History / Social
Studies Teach historical content from a biblical worldview. Help students understand historical events, geography, government, economics, and culture. Encourage students to evaluate historical events through the lens of Scripture. Utilize projects, discussions, and hands-on activities to deepen understanding. Bible Teach Bible curriculum and facilitate meaningful discussions about faith and discipleship. Lead students in Scripture study, prayer, and application of biblical principles. Encourage spiritual growth and Christ-like character. Support chapel services and school-wide spiritual development initiatives. Classroom Leadership Create and maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Establish clear expectations and classroom procedures. Foster strong relationships with students and families. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Utilize educational technology effectively. Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and communication with families. School Community Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Support school programs, field trips, chapel services, and extracurricular activities as needed. Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration. Serve as a positive Christian role model both on and off campus.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and lifelong learning in students.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Education or related subject area. Experience with inquiry-based or project-based learning. Proficiency with educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, STEM platforms).
