Hours:

Responsibilities:
The Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with IEPs in a resource setting. This teacher will be responsible for delivering small-group and individualized instruction in areas such as reading, writing, math, behavior, social skills, and executive functioning based on student needs. Responsibilities include managing an IEP caseload, developing and implementing IEP goals, monitoring student progress, collecting data, and adjusting instruction as needed. The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations, modifications, and inclusive classroom practices. The Resource Teacher will also participate in IEP meetings, communicate with families and school staff, maintain accurate special education documentation, and ensure services are delivered in compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements. They may also support students through push-in and pull-out services, assist with behavior intervention plans, help prepare students for classroom success, and work closely with related service providers, administrators, and support staff.
Pay and Benefits:
$40.00 per hour - $60.00 per hour Non-taxable travel stipends for applicants that qualify Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, pet, legal, Norton life-lock, professional development allowances, licensure-reimbursement, and more
Requirements:
Active OSPI Educator Certification in Special Education Prior experience working as a special education teacher in a school-based setting (preferred) Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and Special Education documentation procedures Excellent written and verbal communications skills, organization skills, and collaboration skills Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
