  • Position Overview

  • plays a critical role in ensuring that students with visual impairments receive equitable access to education. This educator provides specialized instruction, adaptive strategies, and individualized support that promote students'

  • . The TVI will design and implement instructional programs tailored to each student's unique needs, enabling them to build the competencies and skills necessary for long-term success.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in alignment with their individualized learning needs + Develop, adapt, and implement instructional materials and accessible curriculum + Support students' social, emotional, and intellectual development + Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and related service providers + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local educational requirements + Document student progress and maintain accurate records •Minimum Qualifications•+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate, per state regulations + One year of experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (preferred) + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB screening (PPD or chest X-ray), if required + Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Compensation•+ •
