Our mission is to build confidence, independence, and survival competence in and around the water. We specialize in survival instruction and are passionate about serving neurodivergent swimmers, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death for children, and children with ASD are at increased risk due to wandering tendencies and attraction to water. Your role will directly equip families with life-saving skills and provide peace of mind. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and highly attentive ASD Swim Instructor to provide one-on-one survival swim lessons to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related sensory or developmental differences. This role requires adaptability, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate understands sensory processing differences, communication variations, and behavioral regulation strategies, and can tailor swim instruction to meet each swimmer's unique needs. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized survival swim instruction to swimmers with ASD Teach essential water survival skills including breath control, floating, rolling, and self-rescue techniques Adapt teaching methods to support sensory sensitivities and communication styles Collaborate with parents to support consistency and progress Maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment Document swimmer progress and provide feedback Ensure the highest level of safety standards at all times Qualifications Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Background in special education, ABA, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or related field (preferred) Strong communication skills with both children and parents Patient, energetic, and dependable Preferred Skills Experience with sensory integration strategies Understanding of visual supports, social stories, or alternative communication methods Ability to remain calm and regulated in high-stress situations Each franchise location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee (franchise owner).
