Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire growth and achievement in students by serving as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near De Pere, WI. This contract role is ideal for educators passionate about creating inclusive classrooms and making a meaningful difference. You'll provide cross-categorical support and instruction tailored to diverse learning needs, fostering both academic and personal success for your students. You'll thrive in this position if you bring: Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher, with endorsement in cross-categorical or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in a special education setting, preferably K-12. Strong skills in implementing IEPs, assessing student progress, and modifying curriculum. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and fellow staff. A commitment to cultural responsiveness and supporting learners from all backgrounds. Flexibility, creativity, and patience in managing a range of student needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and delivering individualized and small group instruction. Creating lesson plans and adapting materials for students with varied abilities. Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff. Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records in alignment with IEP goals. Providing input for IEP meetings and participating in parent/guardian conferences. Maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
