Job Description

Assignment Overview Amergis is seeking compassionate and dependable Special Education School Aides to support students in the Kenosha, WI for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will work closely with students who require instructional, behavioral, and/or personal support services under the supervision of teachers, special education staff, and other designated school professionals. School Aides play an essential role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, supporting behavior intervention plans, helping students stay engaged in learning, and providing personal care or mobility assistance when needed. Some assignments may involve working with students receiving special education services or those requiring additional behavioral and therapeutic support. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, enjoy being part of a collaborative educational team, and want to make a meaningful impact in students' daily lives. Key Responsibilities + Provide classroom and instructional support to students. + Assist with behavioral management and reinforcement strategies. + Support students with academic, social, and developmental goals. + Help students remain engaged and successful in the classroom environment. + Assist with personal care, mobility, and therapeutic needs when required. + Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and school administrators. + Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. + Follow all district, state, and federal guidelines and professional standards.

Start Date:
August 24, 2026 Minimum Requirements + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Must be at least 18 years of age. + Ability to comply with all relevant professional standards of practice. + Current CPR certification (if applicable). + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable). + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulations). + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
