In this role, you'll provide pivotal support to elementary or middle grade students, fostering their academic and personal growth in a collaborative, supportive school environment. With no serious behavioral issues within the student group, your focus will be on empowering each learner through creative, individualized instruction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current Wisconsin Special Education Teaching Licensure (required) Proven experience or strong understanding of developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, families, and support staff Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Dedication to fostering inclusive and positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support for a caseload of 16 special education students in elementary or middle school settings Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines Regularly assess students' progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed Collaborate with general education staff and families to support student growth and integration Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is up to date Participate in school team meetings and contribute to a culture of learning and respect
