Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic educational environment by taking on a contract opportunity focused on supporting middle and high school students in a cross-categorical special education setting. This classroom approach brings together students with a range of mild-to-moderate disabilities—including learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral differences, and mild intellectual disabilities—ensuring each individual receives the tailored support they need within an inclusive community. Your role will start in August 2026 and run through the school year, ending June 2027. Using your expertise and passion, you will play a critical part in shaping opportunities for growth and empowerment for every student in your classroom.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold the Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) Demonstrated experience working with students with autism Background in supporting students with varying needs across learning, behavior, and cognition Strong commitment to inclusive educational practices and individualized support plans Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction in a cross-categorical classroom for middle and high school students Adapt curriculum to accommodate a variety of learning styles and needs Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Maintain clear documentation, IEPs, and progress reports for all students Foster a positive, supportive environment that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each learner As you guide students through academic and personal milestones, you'll also benefit from working within a close-knit educational community, making a meaningful impact every single day.
