Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-5 students at a welcoming elementary school near Pulaski, WI. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current state licensure as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience teaching special education at the elementary level (K-5 preferred) Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and patience to tailor teaching strategies for individual student needs Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams and families Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to maximize student achievement Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers to support student integration and success Foster a supportive and safe classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student progress and goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations You'll have the chance to work alongside dedicated professionals, using your expertise to shape educational experiences and outcomes for young learners who need it most.
