As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your expertise will ensure that each child's unique needs are met through innovative lesson planning, individualized support, and effective classroom management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, mentor fellow educators, and make a lasting impact on children's educational journeys. All positions are paid, emphasizing the value of your dedication and expertise. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curricula tailored to early childhood education standards and individual student needs, including special education considerations. Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate speech therapy techniques, behavioral management strategies, and literacy and math instruction. Manage classroom activities to create a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills development. Collaborate with families, therapists, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for assistant teachers and classroom aides to foster team growth. Utilize behavioral health strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to support children with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, IEP documentation, and communication logs while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or private school environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, special education practices, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy, math, speech therapy, and behavioral health interventions. Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities; certification in behavioral therapy is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, therapists, and support staff. Ability to plan lessons aligned with IEP goals while incorporating innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
