JOB SUMMARY

Substitute teachers play a critical role in ensuring our students receive the best possible educational experience while in school. Substitute teachers maintain classroom discipline and provide a safe and educationally rigorous experience on a consistent basis for all placements. In addition, the substitute may accept placements in the special education department and may be assigned to work as a 1:1 special education aide. FUSD welcomes all educators from retirees to newly graduated education students to local professionals in our substitute teacher ranks. We often hire full time teachers who have already become familiar with our school district by working in the substitute teacher role.

QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION

Substitute teacher pay: $140.00/day based on 7.5 hour per day.

Leupp:

$155.00/day based on 7.5 hours per day Substitute teachers assigned to a 1:1 SPED parapro position: $150.00/day Long-term substitute teacher: $175.00/day (after 20 consecutive days in same position, parapro positions not eligible for long-term pay).
