Whether you're looking for flexible daily assignments or consistent long-term placements, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact students while working with a team that values and supports educators. Responsibilities Provide instruction and classroom management in Special Education classrooms. Implement lesson plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed. Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with school staff, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators. Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and classroom documentation. Adapt instruction to meet students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Ensure all district policies and procedures are followed.
Qualifications Required:
Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate. Ability to pass all required background checks and fingerprint clearance. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Reliable transportation to assigned schools.
Preferred:
Previous experience teaching students with disabilities. Experience in resource, self-contained, behavioral, or life skills classrooms. Flexibility to work at multiple school locations.
