Applicants must possess a valid California teaching permit/credential authorizing day-today substitute teaching.

Our staff in Human Resources will assist those applicants who do NOT hold a valid California teaching permit/credential to apply for a 30 Day Substitute Permit if these requirements are met. (Please do not submit an application If these requirements are not met.)
  • Possession of a Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited university. Original transcripts showing conferral of appropriate degree is required.
  • Passage of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Specific test dates can be obtained from the internet at http://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/about_CBEST.aspApplicants will be scheduled an appointment to come in to start the employment process.
