Reporting to the K-8 Principal, the Substitute Teacher ensures continuity of learning, maintains a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and upholds the school's academic and spiritual standards

Job Requiremen ts Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher to provide consistent instruction. Supervise students and maintain classroom management according to school policies. Foster a Christ-centered environment that models respect, kindness, and responsibility. Support students in completing assignments, classroom activities, and any homework tasks. Communicate any concerns, incidents, or observations to the regular teacher and administration. Maintain accurate records of attendance and student behavior as required. Adapt to various grade levels, classroom routines, and subject areas as needed. Participate in staff devotions, professional expectations, and school policies. Uphold the school's mission, values, and Christian standards in all interactions. Minimum Qualifications A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the school's statement of faith. High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred. Previous teaching experience or classroom experience with children in K-12 settings. Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment. Must be able to pass required background checks and meet state childcare licensing requirements. This position does not qualify for sponsorship of work authorization or an employment visa, so candidates must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. (See attached.) Preferred Qualifications Teaching certification or licensure. Experience in a Christian school or faith-based educational setting. Familiarity with multiple grade levels and subjects. Ability to adapt quickly to new classroom environments and student needs. Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and professionalism.
