Job Summary Job Summary Substitute Teacher Information
  • All Resident Subs will earn $225 per day
  • Day-to-Day Substitute Teachers will earn $200 per day o After 15 consecutive days for the same teacher, the rate of pay will increase from $200 to $250 per day (starting on the 16th day)
  • All fully credentialed substitute teachers will earn $250 per day

Qualifications Requirements:
Please include with your completed employment application the following materials;
  • Copy of your valid teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Permit (if applicable)
  • Copies of your transcripts posting your Bachelor's degree or 90 semester units and current enrollment to complete your bachelor's degree (official transcripts will be requested at time of hire).
  • Basic Skills Requirement is fulfilled if Bachelor's degree has been awarded o If Bachelor's degree has not been completed, you must fulfill the Basic Skills Requirement (BSR) through one of the following options: o Copy of your passing CBEST card o BSR met through coursework o BSR met by coursework and exam o Pass the
CSET:
Multiple Subjects plus Writing Skills Examination o Pass the CSU Early Assessment Program or the CSU Placement Examinations o Achieve qualifying Score on the SAT or ACT o College Board Advanced (AP) Examinations o Pass a Basic Skills Examination from Another State
  • Letter of Interest
  • Two recent letters of recommendation (within the last two years) Upon successful completion of the interview, applicants will be given a conditional offer of employment to begin employment paperwork to include TB clearance and criminal background check.
If successful and the applicant does not currently hold a valid credential or substitute permit, we will assist you with the process of applying for the required document.
NOTE:
Successful employment applicants will be required to pay the cost of all pre-employment processing, which may include: TB test, credential application fee(s), and fingerprint costs.
