SUMMARY:
Provide classroom coverage as assigned when regular teachers are absent. The Full-Time Substitute must be confident teaching a wide range of developmental age groups from early childhood and K-12. The Full-Time Substitute may be asked to work in special education programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher Maintain the regular routine of the classroom whenever possible Perform all of the duties of the classroom teacher, including covering extra classes if needed Responsible for the pupils, equipment, and materials assigned to them for the assignment (all materials and equipment borrowed must be returned to the proper authority before leaving campus) Leave a brief summary of the day's activities for the classroom teacher (summary may include behavior issues, special circumstances for the day, work that was done or not done during the day) Interviews will be help in-person at the Thompson School District administration building.
