:
  • Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired
  • Be up to date on current learning theory and state of the art pedagogy in teaching
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members, parents and administrators
  • Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-based Education approaches
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Bilingual desired
  • Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
:
  • Provides coverage for teachers who are absent throughout Westminster Public Schools
  • Plans for student differences.
  • Applies principles of teaching/learning to provide for student achievement.
  • Adjusts instruction to meet student needs.
  • Communicates effectively with learners.
  • Maximizes learning time for all students.
  • Displays a fair and just manner for all students.
  • Communicates an effective system for classroom discipline per Board Policy and building regulations.
  • Plans effectively and purposefully for the use of time, materials, and resources.
  • Creates a classroom environment that promotes instruction.
  • Organizes students for effective instruction.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members and administrators.
