Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Building Substitute to join the team at ACES Chase Academy Magnet School. As a Building Substitute, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students when their regular teachers are absent. This flexible position can be daily for 180 school days or allows you to choose the days you want to work, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking a versatile and dynamic work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Execute lesson plans and instructional materials provided by absent teachers, ensuring a seamless continuation of the learning process. Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and learning. Follow school policies and procedures, including those related to classroom management, attendance, and discipline. Uphold the school's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by treating all students with respect and sensitivity. Communicate effectively with regular classroom teachers, sharing insights about the day's activities and any notable occurrences. Bachelor's Degree. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments, subject matters, and teaching styles. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students' educational journeys. Ability to follow instructions and implement lesson plans provided by absent teachers. Adept at managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
