QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum GED/High School Diploma Must be 21 years of age. Satisfactory Child Protection Registry. Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation. Cooperative Attitude. Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment. Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee. The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment.
SALARY:
As per State guidelines: Class A-Licensed/Certified Teacher $179 per day; Class B
  • Bachelor's/Associate's degree $143 per day; Class C-GED or High School Diploma $113 per day.
Long Term Substitute additional pay of $25/day beginning on the 11th consecutive day. (After 3 consecutive days unassigned, long-term day count will start over)
