Duties & Responsibilities:
(Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) Since this is a Targeted Title I program, this role will provide services to Title I identified students only. This position will report to Trinity Lutheran School Implement Davenport Community School District reading curriculum Will provide interventions as needed. Attend and provide all reading professional development Participate fully as a productive team member. Implement building and district elementary and middle level initiatives. Demonstrate effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community members. Implement components of Trinity Lutheran Learning Plan. Willingness to participate in staff development, utilize collaborative teacher teams Able to implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learning community. Ability to establish a positive learning environment. Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential. Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully. Skilled, understands and utilizes MTSS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable Skilled, understands and utilizes PBIS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to - Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties. Able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. such as assisting children or moving/rearranging furniture. Must be able to supervise students in all types of weather. Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting. Able to assist with outside supervision year round.

Special Qualification Desired :

Successful Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential Knowledge of interactive whiteboards and graphing calculators Extensive computer/technology knowledge Knowledgeable about middle level practices. Experience with middle level adolescents necessary. Demonstrated knowledge of differentiation of instruction necessary to meet needs of diverse student community; evidence such knowledge has been implemented successfully in prior experience.
