Long-term Substitute Teacher - Intervention/Elective focus
LOCATION
: Clear Creek Amana Middle School
REPORTS TO
: Principal or Designee
JOB SUMMARY
: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 6th through 8th grade during a teacher's absence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills Follow behavior management plans for students Assists and collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Certificate Experience in classroom teaching PreK 12th grade preferred. Initiative to be a self starter Intuitive to the needs of students Flexibility in assignment given Ability to use good judgment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
