This posting is for submission into the substitute applicant pool for the 2025-26 school year.

Commitment to
Substituting:
To maintain an active substitute account, individuals must complete at least five (5) substitute assignments per semester.
Age Eligibility:
To be eligible for substitute work in our schools, the following minimum age requirements apply: Elementary Schools (Certified and Classified positions): Must be 18 years of age or older Junior High and High Schools (Certified and Classified positions): Must be 21 years of age or older.
Substitute Positions:
Certified Substitute - Work as a substitue teacher in classroms across various grade levels and subject areas. -
Note:
You do not need to be a subject matter expert to substitute for a classroom teacher.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher or teaching certificate preferred. Ability to provide proof of education, such as: Copy of Bachelor's (or higher) degree Teaching credential Official transcripts showing conferral of degree Completion of Certified Substitute Training (online, after hire) Classified Substitute - Support students and staff in non-teaching roles, including: Special Education Assistants Tutors School Support Assistants Other support positions
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required Nurse Substitute Valid Idaho RN License is required Health Tech Substitute Valid CPR and First Aid Certification are required

Substitues may become eligible for health insurance benefits if they work a sufficient number of hours or assignments throughout the year. Eligibility is determined based on hours worked, in accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) guidelines.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must have ability to use/learn classroom technology such as: computer, email, smart board, etc. Must have reliable transportation to arrive at assignments on a timely manner Must be able to work at least one time per semester Must acknowledge and understand that any assignment can be reassigned at any point in time to fit the districts needs Ability to communicate verbally and in writing as needed with students, parents, district staff, and patrons Ability to perform the duties assigned to the regular teacher Ability to follow the lesson plans of the regular teacher Ability to keep a careful record of attendance Ability to follow district policy on confidential issues Ability to teach students and provide necessary classroom management objectives Ability to follow all safety procedures required within the school

Pay Information:
Substitute pay is determined by the position being filled: If substituting for a Certified employee, the substitute will receive Certified substitute pay. If substituting for a Classified employee, the substitute will receive Classified substitute pay. Substitute positions will be filled depending upon district need.
