Rate of Pay:

Description:
Blackhawk Middle School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 8th Grade ACE Math. The selected candidate will provide instruction aligned to district curriculum and support the academic and social/emotional needs of middle school students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective instructional practices, including differentiation and strategies to support English Learners, while maintaining a structured and engaging classroom environment. This individual should be collaborative, flexible, and committed to student growth and achievement.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Math endorsement required Middle School Math endorsement preferred Experience working with middle school students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Experience or familiarity with supporting English Learners preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff and administration
Responsibilities:
Provide daily math instruction aligned with district curriculum Implement differentiated instructional strategies Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with team members and support staff Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
