PRIMARY FUNCTION
We are searching for a confident, experienced substitute teacher to join our team. We're interested in you if you are a friendly and competent professional interested in education. Your duties will include assigning homework, managing classroom activities, and compiling reports. To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of effective teaching practices that ensure learning is a comfortable and meaningful experience. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a strong command of the English language.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure:
Current valid Substitute Educator License with Stipulations.
Education:
Required ' Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field
Experience:
Preferred ' Two (2) years of prior successful substitute teaching experience working with a diverse student population in an urban school setting.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher. Following procedures and achieving lesson goals. Assigning and explaining homework. Overseeing students outside of the classroom, including in the hallways and cafeteria. Complying with all school regulations and policies at all times. Taking attendance and documenting daily notes. Ensuring the classroom and work stations are kept clean and orderly. Overseeing the normal classroom rhythms and activities. Compiling a report for the teacher for when they return. Diapering may be required. Other duties as assigned by the school and district administration.

Sub License Professional Educator License (PEL) Day to Day Subs to the District $180.00/day $195.00/day Long Term Sub Rate (defined as a person requested to serve for 2 weeks or longer in one classroom) $251/day $251/day
