Responsibilities :
Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education. Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere. Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment. Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed. Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Must have 30 college credits with 2.0 GPA or higher. Must be at least 21 years old. Must provide three (3) professional references. Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Must have proof of a completed background check for the State Department of Education. Typically includes a fingerprint-based criminal background check, which often includes child abuse and neglect registry check, or as required by state law and/or school district policy Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and grade levels. Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives. Desired Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
