Sep 2, 2026 Job Description The Arlington Public Schools seeks qualified substitute teachers to work on a per diem basis to cover for classroom teachers, special educators and specialists who are absent from the District. Pay is $120 per day. We use an automated system, Frontline Technologies Absence Management, for substitute assignments. Qualified candidates will have experience with and a love for working with children. Assignments are mostly at the elementary school and middle school levels. References are not required to be listed at the application phase, but in order to move forward, we will need to speak with references. You may list references now if you are comfortable doing so.
