SPED Substitute Teacher - Upcoming School Year We are building a pool of dependable and enthusiastic SPED Substitute Teachers for upcoming opportunities throughout the new school year. This is a great opportunity for educators, recent graduates, retired teachers, teaching assistants, and individuals interested in gaining classroom experience. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when a classroom's regular teacher is unavailable. Responsibilities Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher. Provide appropriate instruction and classroom activities. Supervise and support students throughout the school day. Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior using appropriate strategies and school guidelines. Take attendance and complete other classroom responsibilities as needed. Communicate with school staff regarding student needs or classroom concerns. Ensure students remain engaged and on task. Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.

RIDE SPED

Teaching certification is preferred but not required. Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred. Strong communication and classroom-management skills. Dependable, professional, and adaptable. Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Comfortable stepping into different classroom environments and following established lesson plans. Commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
