Kennedy School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a school building substitute for the upcoming school year beginning September 2026 . The school building substitute will join a vibrant and supportive team that prioritizes collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and a strong commitment to the goals of the district, as well as to our students, families, and staff. The John F. Kennedy School is an inclusive community serving over 480 students in grades K-5. We are dedicated to elevating the educational experience for all learners by cultivating a positive school culture and climate that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. Our work is grounded in the purposeful design of rigorous and equitable learning experiences to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for every student. We are eager to welcome a team member who values collaboration and works alongside colleagues to create the conditions necessary for every child to experience the joy of learning, the excitement of achievement, the discovery of their passions, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community. School Building Substitute The School Building Substitute provides instructional and classroom support across grade levels as needed. This position requires a flexible, collaborative professional who can build positive relationships with students and staff while maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of classroom teachers.
A successful Building Substitute will:
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be collaborative, cooperative, and team-oriented. Be highly flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing daily needs. Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Create and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment. Be able to follow lesson plans and implement instructional activities effectively. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment. Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in education or a related field.
COMPENSATION
