JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To instruct students in accordance with the educational philosophy, course objectives, andCurriculum of the District
  • To provide maximum learning opportunities for students in accordance with program objectivesand each students abilities, interests, and needs
  • To continuously develop his/her professional knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors inorder to improve the educational opportunities of his/her students
  • The Building Substitute teacher will be responsible for taking over the classroom instructionalduties as well as specialists classes
  • Required to report daily when school is in session to the main office upon arrival at the schoolbuilding. Meets with the appropriate Administrator for the days assignment.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment while delivering instruction and implementing lessonplans in line with Districts goals, policies and procedures for student achievement.
  • Maintains the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to whichassigned.
  • Supports students in whole class, small group and individual settings using various teachingmethods
  • Adapts instruction delivery to best meet the needs of all students.
  • Supervises students to ensure their safety and welfare.
  • Follows and supports all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the position including all student and school personnelinformation.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the building administrator.
