Full Job Description Position Long Term Substitute-EL Teacher Qualifications:
Bachelors DegreeClassroom or related experience with children ages 10+MA DESE License preferred Salary $125.00 per day, $150.00 per day after 20 consecutive daysEDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Prior teaching experience or related experience with children ages 5+ and the ability to contribute meaningfully to grade-level. Candidates must have excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to work with independence in dealing with the diverse elements of the academic environment.
Instructional:
Employs a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom Prepares, conducts and delivers motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, child development, and student abilities Encourages an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students Utilizes a variety of assessments and uses data in the classroom to monitor students progress Quincy Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, or handicap, in its educational activities or employment practice as required by Title IX of the 1972 Federal Education Amendments, by Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and by Chapter 622 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
