To Be Determined Job Description Substitute Teacher The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for taking over the instruction for all grade levels and subject matter or provide paraprofessional coverage. Additionally, the Substitute Teacher may be required to provide support for all students including students with disabilities and English language learners. The Substitute Teacher should be able to follow the teacher's lesson plan, be willing to use technology, and work in a team teaching environment. The Building Substitute Teacher will keep appropriate classroom records, provide a safe, nurturing environment for students, and establish clear expectations for learning and behavior.
Responsibilities:
Follow WPS and school building policies, rules and procedures. Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns. Complies with all procedures and schedules. Informs the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered. Implements effective pupil management procedures. Maintains a positive learning environment. Provide lunchroom and recess supervision. Other duties may be assigned by the building administrators. Daily Building Substitute work 3 school days per week from 7:40am - 2:30pm. The schedule will be established with the school leader. Building Substitutes are able to work additional days if there is a specific need and they are interested in doing so

$125/Day for DESE Certified Teacher and/or Bachelor's Degree $110/Day for Some College Credits and/or Experience Working with Students $100/Day for Novice Substitutes and/or HS Diploma
