Job Description

Substitute Teachers (26-27 school year) We are currently hiring for the 2026-2027 school year!

If qualified, you will be contacted when we have an opening for this position.
  • Mandatory trainings will be scheduled during your background and fingerprinting appointment.
Job Summary:
1. Follow lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.2. Maintains order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning.3. Takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.4. Creates a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process.5. Enables each student to achieve learning objectives.6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. The minimum qualification is a High School Diploma.2. Ability to speak and write effectively and correctly.3. Indications of excellent human relations skills.4. Ability to pass a background screening and Maryland HB486 Background Check Screening.

Daily rates:

Non-Degree
  • $105/day 4-year Degree
  • $130/day. MD Certified
  • $140.
00/dayLong-Term Rates (Assignment for more than 6 days):

Non-Degree
  • $125.00/day. 4-year Degree
  • $150.00/ day. MD Certified
  • $160.00/ day
  • Eligible to accrue Sick & Safe Leave
  • For long-term assignments in our Title I Elementary Schools, we look for MD Certification initially.
