Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference each day supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated paraprofessional on a full-time contract basis. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a variety of classroom settings, ranging from self-contained and resource rooms with students facing cognitive or emotional challenges to general education classrooms for all grade levels. Flexibility is key—the district is open to discussing your placement preferences, and you may be assigned to provide focused 1:1 assistance, ensuring each child receives the care and encouragement they need.
What You'll Bring:
Experience or strong desire to work with students in school settings as a paraprofessional Flexibility to support students in both intensive (self-contained, cognitively/emotionally impaired) and general education environments At least 60 college credit hours (official transcripts required), an associate degree or higher, or qualifying assessment scores: ETS Parapro Assessment (minimum score: 460) SAT (minimum score: 480 EBRW, 530 math) Willingness to assist students with daily living tasks, including diapering/toileting, when needed Ability to adapt to different buildings and schedules, with a typical day running 7:15am-3:15pm or 8:15am-4:15pm

Work alongside teachers, providing instructional and behavioral support throughout the school day Support students' individual needs, encouraging independence and social development Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and families as appropriate For your dedication, you'll receive compensation of $40-$43 per hour, alongside valuable classroom experience and the chance to learn from expert educators in a supportive district.
