$125 per day Position Details Direct Hire Kearsley Employees are part of the Michigan Public Schools Employees Retirement System! The premier substitute teacher reports daily to their assigned building. If there is no assignment at the assigned building, you may be required to substitute in a different building within the Kearsley School District.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 60 college credits, Associate Degree or higher Prior substitute teaching experience preferred One of the following valid permits/certifications: Daily Sub Permit Full-Year Basic Substitute Permit Expert Substitute Permit or Full-Year Shortage Permit or Michigan Teaching certification Must be available to work a 7 hour work day, five days a week Must successfully complete a

These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Implement curriculum and follow lesson plans prepared by the classroom teacher Adhere to district procedures and support established lesson goals Assign and clearly explain homework Take accurate daily attendance Report illnesses, injuries, and disciplinary concerns promptly Provide a daily summary for the classroom teacher Maintain a safe, positive learning environment Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality
