DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grace Beginnings long term sub will begin as an Infant assistant teacher (January-April 2027). This position will be 12:15-5:45p Monday-Friday. The long-term sub will assume assistant teacher responsibilities in the classroom during the specified months above. Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility. Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher. Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience At pick up foster positive relationships with parents Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent Attend all required training, staff meetings, or events Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position Maintains licensing compliance Other duties as assigned
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
Educational requirements: High School Diploma required Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant Physically able to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the day Able to see and hear clearly, stay at children's level, and actively engage to ensure their safety. Has a heart and mission to reach the next generation with the Gospel. Can clearly articulate the Gospel to a young child. Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
