Job Description :
Currituck County Schools is seeking reliable and dedicated substitute teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, and managing classroom behavior. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure all students are engaged in classroom activities. Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment. Provide students with appropriate feedback and support. Assist with administrative tasks, including attendance and reporting student progress. Communicate with the school staff and administration regarding any issues or concerns.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred, but not required). Previous teaching or childcare experience is a plus. Ability to manage a classroom effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to pass a background check.
