ABOUT US
Mill Falls is the first public Montessori School in the state of New Hampshire. The School opened in Manchester in the fall of 2012. This state-issued charter school is open to all NH students via our annual public lottery. Mill Falls provides a full elementary program, currently serving 168 students in grades K-6. SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Mill Falls is seeking Substitute Teachers . The majority of assignments include filling in for paraprofessionals and/or Assistant Teachers and occasionally our Integrated Arts Teachers (art, fitness, technology, library and music) intermittently throughout the school year. Our Paraprofessionals assist students with disabilities and our Classroom Teachers, Program Coordinators, and Specialists in completing instructional and clerical duties and assignments involving students with mental, emotional, or multiple challenges. Our Assistant Teachers work in collaboration with our Lead Teachers, and are responsible for the academic, personal and social achievement, safety and physical well being of the children under her/his supervision.
Requirements:
Completion of two years of study (48 credits) at an institution of higher education or an Associates Degree or higher.
Qualifications:
Experience with children and adolescents in an educational setting; Ability to instruct students in mathematics, reading, science, social studies, art, and/or related subjects; Able to physically manage students, kneel, sit on floor, lift up to 40 pounds, and provide personal care; Comfort in working in a public Montessori environment; Strong communication skills; Appreciation for students with learning differences as well as for students from diverse family and socio-economic situations; An open-mind and sense of humor.
