Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher to ensure continuity of instruction Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all students Support students' individual learning needs through tailored instruction and encouragement Assist with classroom activities, including curriculum development and lesson planning when needed Maintain clear communication with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom dynamics Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities to promote safety and engagement Adapt quickly to different age groups and educational settings, including preschool, elementary, or special education classrooms Requirements Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education, special education, or literacy education is preferred Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students of varying ages and abilities Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques Experience working with children with autism or in Montessori or preschool environments is a plus Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learners and support individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and instructional best practices Certification or training in childcare or tutoring is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for working with children is essential Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels student success!
