Full Job Description Lutheran East's Mission :
Lutheran East prepares and equips students to excel in service, leadership, and learning while living as Disciples who are rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. Lutheran High School East (Cleveland Heights, OH) is seeking a long-term high school English instructor for the 2025-26 school year. Teacher would work April 13 through May 22, earning $175 a day. Teaching hours are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Applicants should hold a substitute license or greater. A potential candidate must also have the ability to fulfill the faculty expectations listed in detail below: Discipline/Rules Maintain accurate attendance records School Dress Code enforcement Hold students accountable for proper discipline inside and outside of class Communicate discipline issues appropriately with administration and parents Classroom Responsibilities Execute lesson plans that challenge students individually on a daily basis Regularly grade assignments and return to students for feedback Clearly state classroom policies and expectations and follow through on them Communication Responsibilities Regularly maintain gradebook Communicate student concerns with Administration Communicate student safety concerns with administration & appropriate state/governmental agencies
