Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working in a school environment is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport and foster supportive relationships with students Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in student development High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework or certifications highly valued Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 assistance to assigned students (1st grade and 6th grade), supporting both academic and social development Assist classroom teachers with educational activities, behavior management, and accommodations as needed Help reinforce lesson plans, directions, and classroom routines Track and document student progress and relay information to the educational team Encourage independence while offering gentle guidance and positive reinforcement Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions
